Speeding Motorist Caught Without License, With Machete In Milford, Police Say

A speeding stop in Connecticut had an unusual conclusion after the driver was busted without a license while carrying a large machete, police said.

Officers from the Milford Police Department stopped Inverness, Florida, resident Max Parsell, 27, at approximately 9 a.m. on Monday, July 22, when he was spotted speeding on Wheelers Farm Road near the intersection of Oak Bluff Road.

During the stop, police said that Parsell was arrested after it was determined that he was behind the wheel without a legal driver’s license. Further investigation found that he was also in possession of less than a half-ounce of marijuana and a large machete.

Parsell was taken into custody and charged with possession of weapons in a motor vehicle, possession of less than a half-ounce of marijuana operating a motor vehicle without a license and cited for speeding. Following his processing, Parsell was released and is scheduled to appear back in court on Tuesday, Aug. 20.
